Weight training and varicose veins in men

Good news for all weightlifters right at the start:

Not all veins that protrude under the skin and are clearly visible are actually varicose veins.

A varicose vein is always an abnormally dilated vein with venous valves in the vessel that no longer close, so that the backlog of blood in the vein causes it to dilate. These veins run in the subcutaneous fatty tissue, the so-called subcutaneous tissue, and are then increasingly visible under the skin. The decisive factor is therefore always the defective valve closure in the vein combined with a pathological backflow of blood in the leg through gravity towards the foot.
