Services
I offer the entire spectrum of arterial and venous vascular medicine as well as lipedema treatment.
Surgical treatment of your varicose veins is performed on an outpatient basis and preferably under local anesthesia. I remove spider veins and smaller varicose veins using liquid or foam sclerotherapy in my practice.
I provide advice and treatment for lipedema or lipohypertrophy and, if indicated, perform stage-appropriate liposuction (fat removal).

As a private physician, I also treat patients with statutory health insurance, but only on a self-pay basis. Unfortunately, patients with statutory health insurance cannot claim the costs of my examination or treatment from their health insurance company. The prices for my treatment can be viewed transparently on my website under "Insured patients." Invoicing is based on the German Scale of Medical Fees (GOÄ) and does not differentiate between insurance statuses, i.e., privately or publicly insured patients receive the same invoice for the same service. However, private patients can submit the invoice to their health insurance company for reimbursement.
We offer a wide range of services: from general vascular diagnostics of the veins and arteries in the neck, arms, abdomen, and legs to various treatment options for varicose veins, in particular minimally invasive and gentle techniques, including mini-phlebectomy. We diagnose and treat thrombosis and sclerose spider veins. The second major area of our range of services is the diagnosis and treatment of lipedema, including stage-appropriate liposuction on an outpatient basis. However, patients without lipedema also undergo liposuction in our practice—but for cosmetic reasons.
If there are any previous findings relating to your symptoms from earlier examinations, it is a good idea to bring these with you to the initial consultation. You are also welcome to bring a relative with you to the consultation or treatment. This gives you the opportunity to reflect on certain points after our consultation. It also helps many patients to reduce their anxiety before and during the consultation or treatment.
Since 1996, I have been treating vascular diseases surgically and conservatively as a physician. For many years, I was the chief physician at a clinic for vascular surgery at a university hospital in North Rhine-Westphalia. As a specialist in surgery and vascular surgery as well as a phlebologist, I have a wealth of experience in surgical treatment. For each new patient in our practice, we take approximately one hour to make an accurate diagnosis and develop an individual treatment plan. Many patients also come to me for a second opinion. I perform all procedures on an outpatient basis in my practice, which means that patients do not have to go to another location (e.g., hospital or surgical center) for treatment.
