Since meanwhile 25 years I am active in the field of vascular medicine - most recently as a Long-standing chief physician of a vascular surgery university clinic in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Born in Passau (Lower Bavaria) in 1968, I graduated from the University of Study of human medicine I trained as a surgeon at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. I completed this in 2001 with the acquisition of the Specialist for surgery from.
Afterwards I specialised in to the still young but rapidly developing field of vascular surgery. After my recognition as a Specialist for vascular surgery In 2006, I was initially Senior Consultant and Deputy Head of Vascular Surgery at the Helios University Hospital in Wuppertal. From December 2010 to the end of 2018, I headed this clinic and the Bergisches Gefäßzentrum as Chief Physician.
During this time, I was intensively involved with the Phlebology - the study of veins, their disease and treatment - and successfully passed the examination to become a qualified vein specialist at the North Rhine Medical Association. Phlebologists from.
As Expert on behalf of the North Rhine Medical Association I also assess disputed courses of treatment and offer you my support in such matters.

- Venous occlusion plethysmography (VVP) for follow-up after deep vein thrombosis
- Veinlite incident light for better visualisation of veins, e.g. for sclerotherapy of spider veins and varicose veins
