Legally insured

Should you statutory health insurance I will treat you in my private practice on Self-payer basis according to the scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ).

This means that every patient - regardless of the current insurance status  (private or statutory) - receives an invoice after my examination or treatment.

A private patient can then submit the invoice to their insurance company for reimbursement, while the statutory health insurance company will not reimburse the invoice amount.

As a patient with statutory health insurance, you also benefit from the Advantages a private practice:

Welcoming health insurance patients at Dr Kusenack's reception.

I don't just offer my services to a special group of patients - anyone can, regardless of insurance status, I would be happy to help you.

As a private practitioner, I charge for my services according to the Scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ) transparent and comprehensible.

Please feel free to contact me in this regard.

One Overview about the examinations and therapies I offer including the costs incurred can be found here:

Frequently asked questions on the topic of "statutory insurance"

You are also very welcome to be treated by me in my private practice as a statutory health insurance patient. However, the costs for my examination and treatment are not covered by the statutory health insurance companies and in this case you are a self-payer. You can see the prices for my treatments on my website under „Patients with statutory health insurance“. There is no difference in the invoicing for a private patient and a public health insurance patient. Both receive a transparent invoice in accordance with the scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ) and the same service is of course shown at the same cost.

If you have statutory health insurance, the costs of my treatment as a private doctor will not be reimbursed by your health insurance company. Private patients generally receive full reimbursement of the treatment costs in my practice.

In a doctor's invoice in accordance with the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ), each individual service provided is listed separately with a number and a factor that reflects the difficulty or time required for each individual treatment. The total invoice is then calculated from the sum of these figures. This makes invoicing completely transparent, clear and comprehensible. The invoice is always issued directly to the patient and never addressed to the health insurance company. The private patient can then settle the bill with their health insurance company, while patients with statutory health insurance are unfortunately not reimbursed by their health insurance company. You have the option of paying at my practice by debit or credit card, in cash or by invoice with bank transfer.

The prices for treatment in my private practice can be viewed on my website under the heading „Patients with statutory health insurance“. Every invoice in my private practice is drawn up transparently and with a list of the individual service points according to the scale of fees for doctors (GOÄ) and is independent of the patient's insurance status. The private patient therefore receives the same invoice for the same service as the patient with statutory health insurance. The German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ) is a legally binding price catalogue for medical services, according to which doctors in Germany must prepare their invoices when treating private patients and self-pay patients or when providing IGeL services.

The prices for a treatment in my practice can be viewed on my website under the heading „Health insurance patients“. However, we will also be happy to inform you of these in advance when you make an appointment by e-mail or telephone or in the appointment confirmation when you book online.
