obligat mit Beschwerden einhergehende Vermehrung des Unterhautfettgewebes an den Extremit\u00e4ten, vor allem an den Beinen und gelegentlich auch an den Armen. H\u00e4nde und F\u00fc\u00dfe sind stets von der Ver\u00e4nderung ausgespart.\u00a0<\/p><p>Das vermehrte Fettgewebe f\u00fchrt h\u00e4ufig zu einem Missverh\u00e4ltnis zwischen schlankem Oberk\u00f6rper und breitem Unterk\u00f6rper &#8211; muss es aber nicht. Es gibt auch Lip\u00f6dem-Patientinnen mit harmonischen K\u00f6rperproportionen.<\/p><p>Stand der heutigen Forschung tritt das Lip\u00f6dem nicht an Bauch, Brust, Rumpf, Gesicht und Nacken auf.<\/p><p>Das Lip\u00f6dem ist stets von Beschwerden begleitet, die aber individuell unterschiedlich sein k\u00f6nnen und darin liegt oftmals die Schwierigkeit der \u00e4rztlichen Diagnosestellung. Meistens besteht eine spontane Schmerzhaftigkeit der betroffenen Extremit\u00e4t oder ein Ber\u00fchrungsschmerz z.B. durch den Partner. Auch Kinder oder Haustiere, die auf dem Scho\u00df sitzen, k\u00f6nnen Beschwerden ausl\u00f6sen. Gelegentlich imponiert auch nur ein Schweregef\u00fchl der betroffenen Extremit\u00e4t.\u00a0<\/p><p>Die Ursache der Beschwerden ist zum gegenw\u00e4rtigen Zeitpunkt noch vollkommen unklar, m\u00f6glicherweise liegt eine Entz\u00fcndungsreaktion im betroffenen Unterhautfettgewebe vor. Vermehrt abgestorbene Fettzellen werden als ein m\u00f6glicher Ausl\u00f6ser dieser Entz\u00fcndung diskutiert.<\/p><p>Aus dieser Definition des Lip\u00f6dems folgt, dass vermehrtes Fettgewebe ohne Beschwerden &#8211; selbst bei Hartn\u00e4ckigkeit gegen\u00fcber Sport und Ern\u00e4hrung &#8211; kein Lip\u00f6dem ist. Diesen Zustand des vermehrten Fettgewebes ohne Beschwerden bezeichnet man vielmehr als \u201eLipohypertrophie\u201c.\u00a0<\/p><p>Eine Lipohypertrophie hat \u2013 solange keine zus\u00e4tzliche Fettleibigkeit (Adipositas) vorliegt &#8211; keinen Krankheitswert und muss daher aus medizinischer Sicht auch nicht behandelt werden.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div eine stets progrediente \u2013 also unaufhaltsam voranschreitende \u2013 Erkrankung ist. Dennoch steht dies noch so in der ersten deutschen Leitlinie zum Thema Lip\u00f6dem aus dem Jahre 2015. Besonders dieser Aspekt wird in den sozialen Medien gerne aufgegriffen und dadurch \u00c4ngste bei der verunsicherten Leserschaft erzeugt.<\/p><p>Ohnehin ist die Bezeichnung \u201eLip\u00f6dem\u201c von beiden Erstbeschreibern Allen und Hines ungl\u00fccklich gew\u00e4hlt, da das Wort \u201e\u00d6dem\u201c immer ein Anschwellen von Gewebe durch Wassereinlagerungen bedeutet.\u00a0<\/p><p>Allerdings finden sich beim Lip\u00f6dem \u2013 obwohl h\u00e4ufig propagiert &#8211; keine Wassereinlagerungen im Gewebe und das grenzt das Lip\u00f6dem klar gegen andere Erkrankungen wie z.B. das Lymph\u00f6dem ab.<\/p><p>Beim Lymph\u00f6dem sammelt sich Gewebewasser (Lymphe) im Unterhautfettgewebe und f\u00fchrt dar\u00fcber zum Anschwellen der betroffenen Extremit\u00e4t.\u00a0<\/p><p>Ein Lip\u00f6dem kann aber in bestimmten F\u00e4llen dennoch Wassereinlagerungen aufweisen und zwar immer dann, wenn zus\u00e4tzlich zum Lip\u00f6dem ein deutliches \u00dcbergewicht vorliegt, da eine Adipositas zu einem Lymph\u00f6dem f\u00fchren kann.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-4a18ff5\" data-id=\"4a18ff5\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-340fe0a elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"340fe0a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gefaesspraxis-kusenack.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/elementor\/thumbs\/FilmStill01_v02-qkiv4qfo1gye74jseabhk6h5tdbkp9venuq366x3we.jpg\" title=\"FilmStill01_v02\" alt=\"FilmStill01_v02\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eefb48e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eefb48e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In Fachkreisen wird daher seit l\u00e4ngerem eine Namens\u00e4nderung gefordert, weil es eigentlich kein \u00d6dem im Lip\u00f6dem gibt. Lip\u00f6dems<\/h2><p>Die Ursachen f\u00fcr das Auftreten eines Lip\u00f6dems sind bis heute vollkommen ungekl\u00e4rt und Gegenstand der aktuellen Lip\u00f6dem-Forschung.\u00a0<\/p><p>Da das Lip\u00f6dem nahezu ausschlie\u00dflich Frauen betrifft (es gibt allerdings auch sehr wenige betroffene M\u00e4nner) wird ein hormoneller Ausl\u00f6ser vermutet, insbesondere bei Eintritt in die Pubert\u00e4t, einer Schwangerschaft oder dem Beginn der Wechseljahre.\u00a0<\/p><p>Vermutet wird aber auch eine genetische Veranlagung mit Vererbung \u00fcber die weibliche Linie. Kernspintomogramm (MRT), um ein Lip\u00f6dem nachzuweisen.\u00a0<\/p><p>Da zum Lip\u00f6dem aber immer auch Beschwerden geh\u00f6ren, k\u00f6nnen durch ein Abtasten der betroffenen K\u00f6rperareale sowie einem Kneiftest Hinweise auf das Vorliegen eines Lip\u00f6dems gewonnen werden. Bei diesem Test kneift der Arzt unterhalb der Innenseite beider Kniegelenke bzw. oberhalb des Ellenbogens auf der Unterseite der Arme das subkutane Fettgewebe zusammen. Treten dabei Schmerzen auf, so kann ein Lip\u00f6dem vorliegen.
